During the time of recording Billie Holiday, Holiday’s health was taking its toll. Some say that she did not look like herself at all, and looked like a ghost of what she once was. In the song “There’ll Be Some Changes Made”, Holiday replaces the name Jack Benny in the lyric “Even Jack Benny has been changin’ his jokes” to Frank Estimated Reading Time: 2 mins.

Original album (LP) from Prepared for reissue by Richard Seidelman & Seth Rothstein. Digitally remastered by Dennis Drake at PolyGram Studios (U.S.A.). Recorded in New York, NY (U.S.A.) on March 3, 4 & 11, Billie dies a few months later that year (July 17).

French reissue without barcode, not as Billie Holiday With Ray Ellis And His Orchestra - Last Recording. Released between late 70s and early due to runouts and cat#/5(30).
