Frequently Asked Questions
| Who is Anacapa? |
Anacapa is a leading provider of geographically specific Internet advertising solutions. We are based in California and work with a wide range of well known advertising agencies, Internet Service Providers and network equipment manufacturers throughout the world.
| How do Internet Service Providers benefit from joining the Anacapa Network? |
Anacapa provides ISP's with a new, profitable, advertising revenue source. Our ISP partner's have complete control over the number and type of advertisements we serve to their subscribers.
| How can Anacapa help me to generate additional revenue? |
We serve geographically targeted advertisements and share revenue with our ISP partners. Because our advertisements are geographically specific, we are able to sell our network capacity to both local and multi-national advertisers, typically at a premium rate. Our ISP partners have the right to control both the type and frequency of advertisements served to their subscribers, thus the amount of revenue generated is controlled directly by the ISP.
| I am not in the United States; can I still join the Anacapa network? |
We are very interested in expanding our worldwide network and will gladly work with qualified ISP's, no matter how small or how far. In fact, we have a program specifically for emerging Internet markets.
| Do I need to purchase any special equipment required to join the Anacapa network? |
Yes, our partners need to purchase a special server from our strategic partner, Front Porch (www.frontporch.com). Typically, the revenue generated by a Anacapa's network partners pays for this equipment in twelve months or less.
| How do I find out if my network is acceptable? |
We work with dial-up, broadband and wireless network providers. Before entering into a partnership arrangement, we assess an ISP's network and its customer base to determine if the partnership will be technologically feasible and profitable for our partner. The vast majority of the ISP's we assess qualify and can generally expect to generate a moderate profit in the first year of the relationship.
| Do I get paid based on CPM (impressions) or CPC (clicks)? |
Currently we offer CPM models and will be offering CPC models in the near future.
| How do I know how much I have earned? |
Network Partners are able to log in via our website at any time to see the current status of ads that have been run on their network. A revenue summary is provided monthly to each of our partners.
| How much control do I have over what advertisements are served on my network? |
Our Network Partners have the right to approve the type, frequency and content of the advertisements that served to their subscribers via our network. These guidelines are reviewed with our Network Partners every six months.
